Description
UNCINATUM TRUFFLE (Tuber Uncinatum Chatin.): the uncinatum truffle is very similar to the black summer truffle, but it has a peridium with smaller warts than the scorzone. Its gleba is chocolate brown when it reaches full maturation. It has a regular rounded shape, but can also be slightly flattened. Its dimensions are smaller than those of the summer black truffle. It grows in broadleaved forests, such as beeches and oaks. The harvest period runs from October 15th to December 31st. It can be eaten raw, thanks to its highly appreciated aroma, but also cooked.
RECCOMENDED QUANTITY: It’s recommended to use a minimum of 25g of product per portion.
STORAGE CONDITIONS: To ensure an optimal preservation of the product, the truffles must be stored in the fridge at the temperature of 3°C-4°C in a glass or plastic airtight container, wrapping up every piece in towel paper and making sure to change the latter every single day. Consume within 4/5 days after the order is delivered.
Avoid freezing the truffle. As a matter of fact, the organoleptic quality of this kind of truffle is enhanced if consumed raw and cut into very thin slices on the eggs, tagliatelle and risotto with butter or meat tartare.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS: Before consumption, the truffle should be washed under a light stream of cold water, brushed, to get rid of all the dirt, and then left to dry wrapped in paper towels.

The package will be delivered within 24/48h after the order fulfillment. The products will travel in isothermal boxes with ice, in order to assure their integrity and freshness, as freshly harvested.
The price of fresh truffles may vary every week.
